Kari L. Hepburn

Kari Hepburn joined Wilson & Ratledge in October 2011 as part of the firm’s Estate Planning, Corporate Law, and Taxation section. Before joining the law firm, Mrs. Hepburn practiced as a sole practitioner for two years in the Apex area with a focus on Trust and Estate Planning. Prior to that time she worked for Robbins May and Rich LLP in Pinehurst, N.C.

Mrs. Hepburn is also a CPA with a background in tax, having worked for Ernst & Young and SunTrust Bank in Florida before attending law school. She is a three time graduate from the University of Florida earning an undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Accounting; a graduate degree in Accounting; and a Law degree, with honors. In law school she earned book awards in three classes including Income Taxation. She does have a little tar on her heel though, as she attended the University of North Carolina as a visiting student for her last semester of law school.

Mrs. Hepburn and her husband, Dave, stay busy raising four children and attending several sporting events in volleyball, basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. They are active members in their community and church. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, running, walking the dog, and reading.
